About Us
American Mahjong Sydney was founded by one of the co-founders of Mahjong East to offer a choice for people who wish to learn another type of Mahjong.
Our lessons are led by Jayden and Luvina, experienced instructors who also teach at Mahjong East. Together, they play six different variations of Mahjong, bringing a wealth of knowledge, strategy, and teaching experience to every class. Whether you’re picking up your first tile or looking to improve your game, they are passionate about helping every player feel confident, included, and supported.
Outside the classroom, Jayden and Luvina are dedicated to growing the local Mahjong community as President and Treasurer of the UTS Mahjong Club. Jayden is studying Data Science Engineering, while Luvina is completing a Bachelor of Biotechnology and Business. Their diverse backgrounds, combined with their enthusiasm for Mahjong, create a friendly and engaging learning environment where everyone is encouraged to ask questions, make new friends, and enjoy the game together.
